DESCRIPTION:Meet in the car park on the recreation ground in Checkendon (opposite village hall RG8 0SR\, what3words: withdrew.gossiping.helping). The walk is a mixture of undulating woodland and fields from Checkendon skirting around Stoke Row to Wyfold  (old Borocourt Hospital) with its gothic architecture before returning to Checkendon  through the woodland. One short steep downhill and corresponding uphill climb. Two stiles. Plenty of shade if hot. Optional pint and a sandwich at the Black Lion afterwards.

DESCRIPTION:Meet at 9:50 at Reading Station to catch the 10:12 Elizabeth Line train to Iver (or join us at Iver Station at 10:45). This is a lovely level walk between two Elizabeth Line Stations exploring three waterways and a lake including stretches of the Grand Union Canal\, the River Colne and Little Britain Lake.  Refreshments are available at canalside pubs on the approach to West Drayton. A few sections may be muddy after heavy rain.

DESCRIPTION:Park near or in the field behind The Bell\, where refreshments may be had from 12.00. Nearest Post Code RG8 9SE. The walk starts in front of the Bell at 12.45 and involves a gentle ascent via Bower Farm\, past Streatley Warren\, towards Lowbury Hill. Thence via the Crow's Foot to Starveall and returning past Dumworth Farm to St Mary's Church where Tea and Cake will be available to purchase\, in company with the famous Aldworth Giants. No stiles but some tracks can be stony. Far reaching views over the Downs. Elevation/descent of around 360ft. Alternatively just join us at the church (SU 554 794) for Tea/Cake at ca 3.15pm. To ensure sufficient cake\, please message us on 077 646 12053 by Monday 20th July if you are coming. In the event of a heatwave a shorter walk will be offered\, leaving a little later from the Bell.
