On Saturday 28th June, thirty three members booked places on the coach to Avebury; it was the first wet day for weeks! Eleven walkers were dropped initially ten miles from Avebury and walked along the Ridgeway with beautiful views despite dodging the odd shower. Two participants opted to go straight into Avebury and the rest walked five miles into the village.
Lots to do there, with the National Trust Manor House, the museum, Avebury Stone Circles and the pre-historic landscapes and of course the pub and the tea-shop. Our thanks go to John and Jo Stoves for organising this trip.
