The walk round Sonning Common to see the Christmas Lights & mulled wine & mince pies on Sunday 10th Dec was attended by 13 members.
On Sunday, following the first snow of the season, 13 brave souls ventured out for a fun afternoon at Sonning Common Village hall, hosted by John and Jo.
After a welcome warm drink we then participated in a Christmas Quiz. Challenging… questions ranged from ‘Who invented the Christmas Cracker’ to ‘Why did the orange take the prune to the Christmas Party? We didn’t do too well but we enjoyed hearing the answers.
Prizes were also given for the best Christmas hats and jumpers.
We then ventured out to see the special Christmas lights, which were in aid of Great Ormond St Hospital. The display looked amazing in the snow or would have if the snow hadn’t fused the lights. Never mind it was lovely to have a short walk before returning for mince pies and mulled wine. Thank you John and Jo. Happy Christmas.
