On Wednesday 12th December, 36 people assembled for a short pre-lunch ramble, led by Michael, around the lovely undulating countryside north-west of Reading.
Pre Christmas Lunch walk around Caversham Heath Golf Club
Fortunately, the weather was favourable, cloudy but dry, and not too cold. There was plenty of parking outside the club
After the walk, we met the other non-walking members (a further 18 of us) for the Christmas lunch. Some had a quick drink in the bar before lunch which was held in the large club dining room, which looked very festive. We all enjoyed a 2or 3 course meal. The food was beautifully presented and excellent value. The tables were supplied with crackers, party poppers and balloons. Some fun ensued when the balloons were blown up and despatched round the room!

A very big thank you to Michael, who organised the day, led the walk and provided each of us with slips of papers with our menu choices, so the waiting staff could serve us more efficiently.
We enjoyed the day so much that the committee are looking to book the same venue for 2019.
