This seems to be the flagship event of Pang Valley Ramblers! Hosted by our quizmaster Roger and his team of Lin and Roo, yet again it was a sell-out. On the night, the weather proved to be slightly inclement with snow and ice and wind which prevented a few from attending but we were delighted that most were able to get to and from Pangbourne Village Hall safely. We had the usual format of quiz rounds, and also picture rounds, with an eclectic selection of questions to challenge all of us. The scores were very even across the teams but eventually The Gardeners team won by a narrow margin – all that time spent growing plants must have increased their brain power! The local fish and chip shop, provided us with vast quantities of nicely cooked fish and chips in a very timely manner and we completed the evening soon after 10:00pm. Tea and coffee were available and some did BYO beer and wine. The evening was most enjoyable and a good team effort of organisation by the committee with lots of help from members.
