Coronavirus – Extra Precautions

This page contains 2021 advice and will be updated for 2022 in the near future.

Organised group walking has resumed. The health and safety of all walkers is our primary concern. Anyone with Covid-19 symptoms must not attend a walk.

It is sensible to bring food and water for your own use – it is not good practise to share these with others. Bring alcohol-based hand sanitiser and a face covering.

Listen carefully to the pre-walk briefing and follow the walk leader’s instruction throughout. Follow appropriate social distancing and the latest guidelines. Avoid touching gates and stiles where possible. Use alcohol-based hand sanitiser where appropriate.

When other walkers are passing, remember to stand back and give way. Let the walk leader or backmarker know if you are having problems, feel unwell, or need to slow down or stop. Enjoy the walk!

If you develop Covid-19 symptoms after the walk, apply for a test, notify Pang Valley at walksbooking@pvramblers.org.uk and support NHS contact tracing as appropriate.

Further information can be found on the Ramblers’ website.
