WALK ON SUNDAY 28 OCTOBER 2014 – CHANGE OF ROUTE
Due to a vegetation problem the planned route has been changed. It will now follow the Holybrook and Kennet to Southcote Lock and return. This will be a totally flat walk.

The Walks Programme for September 2014 to November 2014 has been added to the website. We are still finalising the details of some of the forthcoming events and the Social and Other Events pages will be updated later this month
WHITCHURCH BRIDGE CLOSURE
The latest news on the re-opening of Whitchurch Bridge is that the bridge company is planning to re-open the bridge to road traffic some time in September 2014. However there are still risks in the work programme and as these are resolved there will be further updates on the re-opening date.
This means that if you need to cross the Thames to get to any of the walks in our September to November Programme you may need to allow extra time going via Goring or Reading.

WALK ON SUNDAY 9 MARCH 2014 – SHORTENED TO 6-7 MILES
Due to flooding of the river on the originally planned route, the walk in the Hambleden Valley on Sunday 9 March 2014 from Mill End has been shortened from 9.5 miles to 6-7 miles. There will now only be the usual “banana stop” instead of the published stop for a Packed Lunch.
WALK ON WEDNESDAY 5 MARCH 2014 – CANCELLED
The Holybrook has flooded and there is standing water on the Linear Park. As a result the walk from Calcot on Wednesday 5 March 2014 has been cancelled.
WALK ON SUNDAY 2 MARCH 2014 – CANCELLED
Due to flooding in the area the walk from Upper Brimpton Common on Sunday 2 March 2014 has been cancelled.
