Pang Valley Ramblers first social event of the New Year will be a Fish and Chip Supper including a General Knowledge Quiz!  This will be held at Pangbourne Village Hall (where there is ample free parking) on Friday 7 February.  Doors will be open at 7.00pm; the quiz will start at 7.30pm and a fish and chip supper (vegetarian option available) will be served during the interval.  Free tea and coffee will be provided and you are welcome to bring your own drink (alcoholic or otherwise).  There will, of course, be the obligatory raffle.  Places cost £7.50 per head, PVR members and non-members. MALVERNS
Our  Autumn  walking  weekend  will  be  based  at  the  Great  Malvern  Hotel  in  Great  Malvern organised in conjunction with Secret Hills Walking.  The programme for the weekend will include a short introductory walk on the Friday afternoon, a choice of two walks on Saturday and Sunday. Walk one will be longer, ascend more steeply and be generally at a faster pace and will cover 9/10 mile in five and a half hours walking. Walk two will be shorter, have less ascents and descents and be slightly slower than walk one and will cover 5/6 miles in five hours of walking. All walks will commence from the hotel.
