Meet at St John the Baptist Church, St John's Road, Caversham. On road parking - 2-hour limit. 23, 28, 29 buses from Friar Street and Apex Plaza central Reading stop outside the church. A short walk over Caversham weir, along the Thames path and over Caversham Bridge to Christchurch Meadow. Coffee, tea and toasted sandwiches in the community cafe after the walk. All paved surfaces.

Park in Mapledurham Playing Fields free car park, off Upper Woodcote Road. - nearest post code RG4 7LB. A rural walk across the golf course towards Mapledurham to the old apple farm at Cross Lanes returning via Cane End and Kidmore End. Bring packed lunch, may be muddy in parts.
